Connected Car Finance is a FinTech start-up that provides used car dealerships with better, more flexible finance options. Made possible by new technology, the brand provides a slick, streamlined but most importantly straightforward finance service.
They use cutting-edge tech to take all the hassle out of the process and enable used car dealerships get on with selling cars, not arranging finance.
They approached us to create a stand-out brand that would appeal to the used car market, positioning them as a specialist in the field and the go-to provider.
We started as we always do, with extensive research to really get to know their business and establish a guiding vision, mission and values. This deep approach means Connected Car Finance can continue to buck the trend compared to the rest of the market…after all they’re on a journey to deliver a finance experience that is always fair, fast, and forward-thinking.
And these three F’s of fair, fast, and forward-thinking became their core values too. At Trust, we believe in values-based branding and we think these are three amazing values to build a new brand upon.
Built on research, insight and understanding, the concept was then developed into a beautifully designed brand mark which represents connectivity and simplicity. A suite of icons was also created to complement the new logo, and we drew some bespoke illustrations for the website. These show, in a way that’s easy to understand, how Connected Car Finance sit between car buyer and finance provider.
After collaborating with the client to agree on the new brand name, values, logo and website design, it was time to launch. At this point we led a campaign, that included strategically placed press releases, on and off line advertising, and also social, to raise awareness and build anticipation for the new brand.
We also got our heads together with their team to come up with ideas for merchandise which would help Connected Car Finance to stand out. On top of the collateral that their clients expected, like brochures, mugs and pens, we came up with ideas that would add value, like coats, umbrellas and colouring books and pencils (keeping the kids happy while the adults are busy car shopping.) Thoughtful eh?
Connected Car Finance is excellent at building top tech that makes the customer’s journey smoother, but Circuit, the online dealership-facing portal wasn’t designed in a user friendly way. So we got to work on some front-end development, focusing on user experience, to make sure the website looked as good as the technology behind it.
Ultimately, our work for Connected Car Finance was so successful that they decided to take us on as a retained partner. We love this. It’s an ideal scenario where we become an extension of our client’s team, involved in the day-to-day delivery of online and print materials that support their strategic aims, ultimately helping them achieve their long-term business goals.
