Trust's director Gemma McCall has been tipped as “one to watch” on this year’s Northern Power Women Future List!
The Northern Power Women Awards were held earlier in 2018 to celebrate the women, and men, working towards creating gender equality in organisations across the entire Northern Powerhouse.
The Future List was released afterwards to highlight women who are influencers, leaders and change makers of the future, and who are already making a difference in their working environments and communities.
Gemma was hand-picked as a role model, not only in recognition of her success as the director of a rapidly growing agency, but also for co-founding Manc Mamas, a northern movement to champion working mums. A business development professional and self-confessed networking-nut, Gemma came up with the idea of Manc Mamas following her own struggles to return to work after maternity leave.
She works tirelessly to help shift the perception of mothers who don’t want to give up their careers, and particularly supports those in the creative industry where it’s notoriously difficult to have that work-life balance.
She does this whilst running a busy agency with a team that has grown by nearly 300% since she joined two years ago.
Gemma said “I am delighted to have been included on this year's Northern Power Women Future List. It is so inspiring to see all the other successful and amazing women on the list and I’m really proud to be amongst them!”
